Historic breakthrough for Chinese platform tennis! Zhang Bohou climbs to No. 1 in Asia and qualifies for the FIP Finals for the first time
Chinese padel tennis reaches a milestone! In the latest rankings of the International Padel Federation (FIP), Chinese player Zhang Bohou officially topped the Asian rankings with 134 points, becoming the first Chinese athlete in this sport to reach the top of the Asian list. At the same time, he became the first Chinese player to qualify for the CUPRA FIP FINALS year-end finals through a wildcard, creating a new chapter in the history of Chinese padel tennis.

This breakthrough achievement stems from the Chinese Tennis Association’s continuous promotion and systematic cultivation of paddle tennis. Recently, Zhang Bohou achieved consecutive successes in the West Asia season, reaching the quarterfinals of the FIP Doha stage and the semifinals of the Bahrain stage, and defeated the former Asian number one in a crucial match, ultimately topping Asia with a 59-point lead over the Japanese player.

Tomorrow, Zhang Bohou will team up with Spanish player Olivera Palos to appear at the CUPRA FIP FINALS held at the Yangpu Riverside Sports Center in Shanghai, facing top players from around the world. This will be the first time that a Chinese player appears in this global top year-end event.
